Merchants set up their ware within the perimeter of the villa, lights are strung around the town, townspeople and even others from neighboring towns (and us from across an ocean) line the streets...

In the name of the succulent

Succulents are a very prominent plant in Southern Italy and I love all the shapes, sizes and colors that I find them. They can be very plain to extremely detailed. You can find them in just about every town, dotting balconies or an outside terrace. I'd rather a bouquet of succulents over roses.
